Our Story
Innovative Electrical Services (IES), Inc. is a family-run, California licensed C-10 electrical contractor (CSLB #1081222) based in Auburn, California. From our home base in Northern California, we serve customers from the Oregon border down to Southern California, and everywhere in between, including San Francisco and the Bay Area, with residential, commercial and industrial electrical work.
We’re a family business. The owners are on the jobs and pick up the phone. We care about how the job turns out, and about how you feel when we leave.

Meet the Owners
IES is co-owned by Karolyn and Walter Vaughan. Karolyn serves as CEO. She came to IES from a career as a public school teacher and brings that same care and organization to every customer.

We just want to help. We want to build a good company with good people, so we can make life a little better for the people who work with us and the people we work for. We hope to be a blessing to our community and to each of our customers, and maybe help people think a little better of construction workers and the trades along the way.
When we work in apartments or homes, whether or not we’re working directly with the homeowner, we want to leave the place cleaner than we found it, be as respectful as we can, and, if we see a chance to make someone’s day better, at least bring a little light into their world.
